New Disturbing Evidence of DDB’s Lack of Concern for Missouri DDB Dogs

Dogs Deserve Better’s Good Newz Rehab Center in Virginia held an open house over the weekend, and the place looked great! Decorations everywhere, a Christmas tree, food tables, Santa…

The only thing I didn’t see was dogs. DOGS. Isn’t the Good Newz Rehab Center supposed to be for the dogs?

Where were all the dogs, I wonder? Tucked away in cages so they didn’t spoil the party? Because I confess, I always pictured having big parties at the house too…until I realized that large gatherings made the dogs very stressed and anxious. Especially if they were not allowed into the room with all the people.

So if the people are having a fancy get-together, but the dogs aren’t invited, then it’s really not much of a good time for your true clients— THE DOGS—now is it?

And who paid for all those decorations?

While the DDB-MO dogs were going without Christmas?

The TRULY disturbing thing about DDB’s ability to party down without a morsel of remorse after what they did to Melody Whitworth’s branch in Missouri, is that I’ve gotten new evidence of just how, well—there’s no other word for it—effed-up the new leadership of Dogs Deserve Better must be.

On November 18th or thereabouts, Denise Cohn and Robin Budin flew their asses to Missouri (with one day’s notice to Melody that they were coming) and dumped the whole branch.

MOdogs

This paragraph informs her she has 30 DAYS TO TRANSFER ALL THE DOGS IN HER BRANCH, 27 OF THEM, TO ANOTHER MISSOURI RESCUE.

Wow. This goes WAY beyond Grinch, DDB. If Melody had signed your bullying agreement, then she would be down to 4 more days to find a Missouri rescue to take in her dogs. At Christmas!

I can see these rescues lining up around the block now, just hoping to get 27 more dogs right before the holidays. Yeah, right. Not.

Not only that, but Melody and her volunteers and foster homes LOVE these dogs. What kind of cruel, heartless person would rip these dogs from the people who love them and want the best for them AT CHRISTMAS? When that branch is supposed to be part of your organization, and is therefore your responsibility to care for?

I ADMIT TO BEING LIVID ABOUT THIS. JUST LIVID. AT CHRISTMAS. That’s annoying.

Melody refused to sign a damn thing, thank God, and is suing them in Missouri court for breach of contract. Which means that unless and until a judge says so, those dogs don’t have to go ANYWHERE, DDB, aka the Mrs. Grinches. Melody and her supporters can still fundraise to care for them, and—gasp—even buy them a few Christmas presents for their tree if we can give her the support she needs.

Also note the second paragraph: they expected to destroy her with no discussion, no warning, no kindness, and at the same time have her sign a confidentiality agreement so their heinous actions would not be discovered by the world! That, my friends, is classic bullying and abuse.

Reba says, “Please help me and my friends at DDB Missouri have a Merry Christmas by sponsoring us at the link below. Thank You!”

It’s December 14th. Let’s celebrate that Melody is fighting back, and that her dogs are still safe and warm in their Missouri foster homes this holiday season, despite DDB’s best efforts to throw them out in the cold. Please join me in sponsoring one of these dogs, so they can have the Christmas they deserve.

Thank you!
